Why Move to the Palos Verdes Peninsula?

January 13, 2021
There are many things to consider when you decide which neighborhood to pick on the Palos Verdes Peninsula.  Being over 13 miles square the Peninsula offers many different neighborhoods each with its own favor and style.  The Palos Verdes Peninsula is known for its breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, Catalina Island, the Santa Monica coastline, and Los Angeles Basin that are offered from its 1457sqft elevation.  Another draw to the Peninsula is its highly-ranked schools and two award winning high schools located on many beautiful campuses scattered over the Peninsula.   The extensive network of horse and hiking trails, coastline beach access, multiple golf courses, and many parks makes this an ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts who take advantage of its ideal climate.  Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 51°F to 76°F and is rarely below 46°F or above 84°F.  Compared to other communities of similar population size the Palos Verdes Peninsula has a crime rate that is noticeably lower than the average. This means that for comparably sized cities all across America, the Palos Verdes Peninsula is actually safer than most according to NeighborhoodScout's exclusive analysis of FBI crime data.  There really is no undesirable part of the Peninsula.  Most people decide which neighborhood to make home on personal preferences.  The ocean breezes on the west side of the hill, the easy access to Downtown L.A from the east side of the hill, the horse properties and ranches located in Rolling Hills Estates and Rolling Hills all make excellent choices.  Sometimes the decision comes based on the view the house offers.  Some buyers prefer ocean/Catalina views, others enjoy the sparkling city light views of Downtown, some enjoy overlooking the Port of Los Angeles with its busy harbor, or still others love watching the waves crash on the beach and the airplanes take off from LAX.  This charming community has something for every lifestyle.  Although it is a big place there are many neighborhoods scattered throughout and there is one that will feel like home!
