With our near-perfect weather all year long in Southern California, fall is a great time to get some home maintenance done. 

Now is a wonderful time to hop in the garden and plant perennials, trees, and shrubs. Planting in the fall is perfect because in the spring, we get to see the hard work turn into beautiful blooms. 

For internal home maintenance, fall is the ideal time to check your central air system, furnace, and ductwork. Now that the weather has cooled down but it is not yet warm enough for heating, having these systems serviced is ideal. Checking plumbing systems, radiator, and the caulking of windows and doors is also a smart choice. 

In the winter, there is no need for additional maintenance to prepare for storms and snow (Perks of living in SoCal). Checks on filters for heaters and cooling systems can also be conducted during this time.

Keeping your home in the best shape helps increase energy efficiency, protect your household, and prevent further maintenance later on.
